1922 Gibson Junior Mandolin Model: A-Jr w. Fitted Hard Case (Non-Original Case) - $800 - (New London, CT)

Not every day do we see one of these walk through the door! Nearly a century old, this little Gibson A-Jr mandolin certainly looks incredible for it's age. It features the "paddle peghead", original tuners, solid spuce top and solid birch back and sides. The finish is in such excellent condition, we believe it may have been oversprayed, likely during the repair of the top cracks. There are three hairline cracks on the body, all professionally attended to (see photos). A few parts have clearly been replaced, such as the tailpiece cover, bridge and the pick guard but are all in nice shape. It is setup with D'Addario light strings and is ready for many decades of play! Comes with a nice molded Tolex Hard Case that is not age appropriate.
