This pretty tin box was originally filled with pruneaux d'Agen fourrés, which are prunes that have been pitted and stuffed with prune paste. These exquisite specialties from the commune of Agen in southwestern France are known internationally. (The commune of Agen is the capital of the Lot-et-Garonne department in Aquitaine in southwestern France. It lies on the river Garonne 135 kilometres southeast of Bordeaux.)
