L. below] Manufactured in Berlin / Special Copy of Antonius Straduarius. [sic.] [L in a foliage wreath tied with a ribbon] Stamp on bassbar in purple ink, with gothic lettering:Herdell Merrill. You can see a It has a small paper inside, "COPY OF ANTONIUS STRADIVARIUS MADE IN BERLIN" with the insignia a wreath and L is for the maker, Louis Lowenthal Based on its age it appears to be in very good condition, however It seems to have a slight crack under the bridge, a few minor scratches. This Stradivarius has all four (4) strings on the violin, but one string is loose and it looks bent at the bottom, but there are 3 additional strings included are "A" "G" and "D" and a box of super sensitive rosin. . Green felt lined, lockable case but the case has age related wear, has extra compartments for the extra strings, and rosin. There are two bows. One bow is showing age related wear, the other seems to be a secondary bow. One bow may be a Thomas Tubbs, but can't be sure, so please look carefully. This Violin was kept in a smoke free environment. That is all I know so I am therefore selling this "AS IS" so please look carefully at the pictures and feel free to ask any questions, thanks for looking
