This listing is for one pound / sixteen ounces (16oz.) of CLARIFIED, wild, sustainably harvested Lodgepole Pine (pinus contorta) resin, gathered by hand in the wilds of Western Montana. We collect naturally occurring resin from trees on our own remote mountain property, as well as from remote old growth forests- far from any smog, spraying, chemicals, or other toxins. We do not tap or wound trees for harvest. We do not buy and resell, nor do we hire people to harvest for us. All resin is gathered by Yours Truly. Our clarified resins are filtered at low-heat to remove most natural debris (we do not claim perfection). Lodgepole Pine resin typically becomes slightly copal after clarification, melting and molding to its container at room temperature. If you need to break or powder the resin, try freezing it briefly before handling. It is VERY sticky! Clarified resin is great for those who do not want to tackle the extremely sticky mess that comes with filtering resin. We have home-made, dedicated tools for the task. For example, each tree species has its own filtering trays to prevent mixing resins of different species. It can be used for anything from incense and aromatherapy, salves and medicines, culinary and food storage projects, leather balms and wood varnishes, and so much more! All orders will be shipped via USPS First Class or Priority mail (depending on package weight). We have a 1 - 2 business day processing time.
