Serial #11,697 (circa 1985-1990). The instrument has 99% original varnish, no cracks or damage to the wood. Keys are nickel plated and all pads and corks are new. Tone-hole liners ("water tubes") to the top of the boot and to the wing joint. Price includes good original case. As with all of Adler's bassoons, this one is stamped "Sonora" on the bell. With original high D, nickel-silver cap to the wing tenon, nickel-silver socket liners to the boot. Two original Adler bocals. Still in production, now sold as "model 1257". Price in Germany is now 6900 Euros ($8500). This one's a good example with a "best buy" price of $3850. In January of 2019, our small workshop in Wichita celebrated sixty-six years in business.
