Matching Pair (2) of Antique Clamshell Victorian Era Parlor / Pub chairs - $2,100 - (Los Osos, CA)

Both chairs are in excellent condition considering their age. Ornate hand carved arms.Made in England between 1885 and 1890. All original except for modern wooden legs, blue cloth covering the bottoms, and a pink ruffle attached behind the original fringe. Cushions have modern zippers. They are stuffed with feathers, which appears to be original. Both chairs are uniform in color. What appears to be any variance is due to the "velvet type" of material and the way it reflects light.These chairs are a wonderful example of the high quality furniture produced during the late Victorian era.
