Adopt Gem a White Paint/Pinto / Quarterhorse / Mixed horse in Novelty - N.A. - (Novelty, OH)

Gem is a beautiful girl ready for her forever home and family! This flashy little mare came to the RV barn in spring 2018 very underweight with severely overgrown hooves that greatly affected her mobility and comfort. With our team of amazing vets, farriers, fosters and volunteers we have rehabilitated Gem to the healthy and happy horse she is today. She still receives corrective shoeing, chiropractic adjustments and regular check ups with the veterinarian, but otherwise has made a full recovery. We have recently started her under saddle, and can tell that she has a history of being ridden. We want to take it slow with her conditioning, but as of right now we think she would be suitable for trail and 'fun' riding. She is a nice kid-sized horse and with some additional training could be trusted with even beginner riders - she naturally slows down with an unbalanced rider, she steers well and isn't gate or barn sour. Gem has been turned out with mares, geldings, and miniature horses.
