NATIVE SILVER and COPPER - 6.6 cm - SENECA MINE, MICHIGAN 22349 This is a very good small cabinet example of the silver and copper 'halfbreeds' that were found during decades of copper mining in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The specimen has more copper than silver, but is rich with silver, too. The epidote seen on all sides of the specimen makes it more colorful than most 'halfbreeds'. The specimen comes from the collection of Dr. Melvin J. Gortatowski.
