ORIGINAL1920'S LIGHTHOUSE INTERNATIONAL SILVER #343 SILVERPLATE COCKTAIL SHAKER - $995 - (Gulfport, MS)

This is one of the Holy Grails of cocktail shakers. This is an original (not reproduction) circa 1920's Boston Lighthouse cocktail shaker by International Silver and Meriden Co. Number #343. This was found in a New Orleans storage locker. It is missing the original top and strainer. The top you see in the pictures was found in the same box with the shaker and will be included. Without the top the shaker stands 11 1/2 inches. If it had the original top it would stand abouut 14" inches. I have given the shaker a light cleaning with a polish cloth just to see what the condition of the shaker was in. In the windows there is some residue which is probably old silver polish. I don't have the right tools or cleaning products to clean it thoroughly. The shaker has no major dings or dents. There are 2 very shallow indentations which would not show up when I took the pictures. These are very very minor. The only plate loss I see is on the underneath edge of the bottom edge of the base. You can see this in the 8th picture. The inside has some drip staining marks on the sides and on the bottom. Again see pictures. These do not come up on the market very often and when they do they command a high price. If you can find the top you would have a $3000.00 to $4500.00 cocktail shaker. I did check with some reproductions and their tops would fit this original shaker.
