early 2009 Mac Pro 4,1 dual CPU tray, 8-core 2.26 ghz 16GB RAM - $325 - (Middletown, DE)
Selling my dual CPU tray from a early 2009 Mac Pro. Model identifier is 4,1. This is equipped with a pair of the stock 2.26ghz 4-core processors (E5520) for a total of 8 cores. I have also filled all RAM slots with 2GB sticks of Kingston memory (for a total of 16GB), with a speed of 1066mhz. I removed the heatsinks, and cleaned and re-applied the thermal paste to the processors. I also inspected the CPU socket pins and found no defects (see photos). Tested in my personal early 2009 Mac Pro and it worked flawlessly. Keep in mind, this will ONLY work with the early 2009 model. Will not work with the 2010 or 2012 models... if you do install this in the newer Mac Pros, the fans will spin at full rpm and cannot be altered with fan control software. Please keep this in mind when bidding. Dual CPU tray will ship complete with everything shown in the photos. Ready to slide in and boot up. Will be sent by USPS Priority Mail with insurance.
