The Friends of the Parks (FOTP) Chicagoland Earth Day Parks & Preserves Clean-Up and Celebration began 30 yrs ago as a way to engage communities in their local parks and forest preserves. Today, FOTP partners with a multitude of other groups including the Chicago Park District, the Forest Preserve District of Cook County, and many community and volunteer organizations. The 30th Annual Chicagoland Earth Day Parks & Preserves Clean-Up will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to noon, in parks throughout the Chicago area. From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. there will be a celebration at Humboldt Park (including games and activities for all ages)! All Chicagoland Earth Day volunteers are welcome to attend. Join local Earth Day hosts, Friends of the Parks and the Dunning Read Conservation Area (DRCA) Stewardship Committee, and register to be an Earth Day volunteer at the DRCA!
