Vintage 1930-1940 Signed Labbé Francois Liquor Decanter Hand Painted France - $25 - (Indian River, MI)

This liquor decanter in blue with a white background, motif is from sailboats in the ocean, signed Labbé Francois France. It's years 1930-1940. It is in very good condition, with no chip, cracks or scratches. There is some crazing. Decanter is about 8 "high by about 6" wide at the widest part of the carafe. Very rare, made in France and hand painted It seems François Labbé made liquors in the town of Voiron, Isere France.In 1888, there are no fewer than 6 liquor factories, some internationally renowned as François Labbé or Brun Perod and his China-China, an aperitif based on bitter orange bark, alpine plants and exotic fruits developed around 1808 and Widely taken over by other liquorists. Testimony of this rich past, the department still has about fifteen companies specialized in this field. Savoie also has some great names and a speciality that is now unknown: the Vermouth of Chambéry.
