Sterling Silver Multi-Color Cloisonne Enamel Art Snuff Hinged Trinket Box India - $25 - (Clarkesville, GA)

Offered for sale, a sterling silver enameled cloisonne snuff or trinket box, made in India, estimated circa 1970's. While there are no hallmarks, I am sure the box is sterling. It has a bright inner finish, but the exterior silver has a heavy patina (tarnish). The artful enamel design is in excellent condition. The box opens and closes / snaps shut very smoothly on its hinge, and there is a small extension on front which makes it easy to lift open. The bottom of the box shows wear including scratches and indentations (see photograph). It measures 1 5/8" x 1 1/4" x 3/8".
