Genuine South African Ostrich Egg - Display Decorative Craft - $40 - (Cody, WY)

Genuine Ostrich Egg that has been drained and sanitized for display. This was purchased in the early 1990's in Zimbabwe Africa and has been in storage ever since. Approximate measurements: 6" high, 5" wide, 15 1/4" circumference. The drill hole is small compared to many I see, only 1/4 inch. It is a cream color and has no chips or cracks. It is clean and ready for display, show-and-tell, or an art project.Ostrich Eggs are really cool! The average thickness of an egg is 0.06 inches, which makes them very strong, supposedly enough to hold the weight of a adult man. I would not recommend this, however :-). But they do have to withstand the weight of their parents during incubation, and ostriches weigh over 200 lbs!I am happy to answer any questions.Thank you for looking.
