Antique Original Hand Colored Map - 1830 - Africa - $75 - (Beaumont, TX)

This is an original page from the atlas of maps published by H. & F. J. Huntington in 1830. Shows the countries of Africa. Interesting note in the center area of the continent: "This region has note been explored; it is supposed to be an elevated desert." Condition as in photos, discoloration. Map has been stored rolled and has some curling, but will be mailed flat. About 8-7/8" x 11-1/4". Worthy of restoration. Other pages from this atlas also on auction.
