On askart: George A. Albach born c. 1906, Erie Co., NY exhibited at Albright Art Gallery, Buffalo (NY). Guaranteed 100% authentic.This would have been done c. 1940. It was framed, I removed it from the frame because shipping glass never turns out well. On the back of the frame it had the gallery label (Albright) on the back mostly torn off. There was an inscription To: then the persons name and address. The label might have had the price on it and it was torn off being gifted. This was purchased from George Albach's first wife's son. His mother married George when she was very young and he was much older. I think he said she was 15 and he was in his mid 20's. I can not find a date on his death but he said his mother is 96 which would make him well into his 100s if he is still living so highly unlikely. This work is unsigned and not dated. It is a watercolor on watercolor paper. It is being sold with out the frame but If you want the frame I will include it if you pay the shipping.It measures 22.5x15". I have several others of his work, oils and watercolors. Please see photos for condition and description.
