Pre-Raphaelite Knight & Castle - After Burne-Jones - Antique Painting - $999 - (Cumming, GA)
This a painting of a Pre-Raphaelite Black Knight and Castle After Edward Burne-Jones. This painting is after a Burne-Jones painting hanging in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. It was painted from the original in 1947 based or the permit stamps on the back which allowed the artist to bring his canvas into the museum and paint. The painting is an oil on canvas and measures 38.5 x 30 inches and is framed in its original brown wood frame measuring 48 x 38 inches. There is a small spec where the paint has come off which can be seen in the photo. Overall the painting is in great condition for a 70 year old painting. I bought the painting in about 1997 at an antique show in Atlanta. It has hung in my house since then. Please see my other listings. I am selling much of my lifetime collection.
