...being offered is a fold-out vintage map of the state of West Virginia from 1938 Edition of World Book Encyclopedia. West Virginia city/towns are listed on the back of the map (see photo) with map coordinates for locating city/town and also the population of each city/town at time of publication, 1938. Each pages measures 9 3/4" x 7". The fold-out map pages measure 12 3/4" x 9 3/4". The map image itself measures 11" x 8". The immediate 1/2" along the map perimeter allows for the elevation legend (seen on the bottom right) and the remaining 1/2" allows for possible framing clearance. Please note the map is attached to a "binding strip" which displays the punch marks of the binding process but in no way interferes with the map itself as can be seen in the photo. (It seems that the binding strip may be carefully removed from the map if desired, but that is a decision best left up to you.) This richly colored West Virginia map has no tears but does have a center fold and some imperfections which I can best describe as "waves" that can be seen very clearly in the photo but not so much in real life, interesting! As can be seen in the photos, the pages are slightly yellow due to age but otherwise display fine condition. Ideal for framing or perhaps you're a crafter with an idea this item can fulfill, or a collector or historian and this map may be just what you're looking for - whatever you're interest, I thank-you for looking.
