This item is an antique Chinese trousse dinner set. The scabbard is made of cinnabar lacquer. This knife set when in its scabbard measures 11" inches. The scabbard is in good condition with no damage to the lacquer. The knife has normal wear for its age. It is missing one of the silver metal tipped chopsticks. Someone has put an ordinary wooden one its place. This knife also includes a beautiful deep red colored silk knot.I purchased this knife at a large military relics show.
