Up for bid in this auction is the pictured 1948 model year (U movement serial number prefix) Elgin DeLuxe Caliber 624 that is a manual winding wristwatch movement that has 17 Jewels and 4 Adjustments for position error. There is NO case being offered here- just the movement, dial and one of the three hands. This movement does wind and set the time smoothly but has a broken balance staff. The yellow crown is in nice looking condition and could be used again on one of your watches. This movement is GREAT for parts to keep your period Elgin 624 powered (and other identical shape caliber Elgins- there were at least three or four versions of this movement with 15 to 21 Jewels and many of the basic parts are all the same) or similar caliber watch going for years and decades to come!
