LOVELY ANTIQUE CASED ART SPANGLE GLASS BASKET c 1900 - $99 - (Jacksonville, FL)

This listing is for a beautiful antique hand blown art glass basket, c. 1880-1890. The inside of the basket is pink colored glass cased with a white opaque glass and has a clear crimped edge and a looped applied clear glass handle. The basket is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Measures 6 1/2" high. To top of handle and 6 1/4" wide. These collectible glass baskets were produced by several glass factories and were seldom, if ever, signed. They were never mass-produced and each was a creation in itself often created by the glassblower as a gift or novelty item. This type glass basket were at the height of their popularity between 1880-1890.
