They recommend the Flashing Tape, on each side, extend 1 inch above the window and to the bottom of the sill flashing. That is about 2 inches below the window. The tape across the top should then extend at least 1 inch beyond each outer edge of the side flashing. Dupont recommends applying pressure after installation using a J Roller or similar tool.
