2019-02-26 1 Up for auction is a rare Kroeber Cabinet No.59 Mirror Side Antique Mantel Clock that is in very good antique condition that currently runs and strikes well. The clocks powered by an eight day time and strike, spring driven brass plated signed Kroeber No. 3 & 1/2 movement. The clock counts out the hour by striking a coiled gong and strikes once on the half. It measures 18 X 17&1/2 X 6. The clocks front door opens and closes good with barely any slack in the hinge, the glass is good and it has the Kroeber Fancy Hands.Theres a page in Lys Book on Kroeber Clocks about these hands .page 514, It reads, (Unique hands made for F. Kroeber by Clark and Cowles.) it has a picture of an invoice and shows these hands. Its a really nice looking clock, great patina. It may of had previous glue repairs toward the top.
