ANTIQUE ANSONIA CAST IRON MANTEL CLOCK PORCELAIN DIAL, ODD COLUMNS, 12"x12" #209 - $89 - (Ironton, OH)

WELCOME! Antique ANSONIA wind up CAST IRON mantel shelf clock NOT WORKING and being sold for parts or repair. Pendulum, key, and the back of the clock are not included. The movement is a 4 1/2 and one of the springs has "sprung"; the gears do move and the pendulum rod swings when helped. The dial face is porcelain. This clock does seem to be a bit different in Ansonia terms in a couple of ways; one is that the top/roof slopes extend the entire width and it is 12" tall (apex) and 12" wide. Secondly, the columns are tiered. Both features not common to Ansonia. The bezel and glass cover are very good. There is no patent date that I can see. The number 209 is on the cast iron body in a couple of places in the casting (raised). It measures 5 1/4" front to back at the deepest point and weighs a whopping 18.6 lbs.
