Whenever you take out a floppy disk, Windows 10 doesn't recognize this, and pretends the disk is still there if you've loaded it. So you have to unplug the drive and plug it back in for Windows to recognize there's a new disk inserted. It's not the fault of the disk drive, it's the fault of the Operating System. On Antergos (Arch Linux-based distro), it works absolutely fine, as to be expected. At the time of writing I haven't tried it on macOS, but it might also behave like Windows 10. Overall, if you don't mind unplugging and replugging it in after every floppy disk, this works well on modern OS's.
