The blade marked Horstmann Philadelphia ,U.S. and Thomas B. Thomas. The grip double wrapped shark or fish skin. The fold down guard marked Presented to Lieut. Thomas B. Thomas by the active command of Com. D. 1st Regiment N.G.P. ( National Guard Pennsylvania ) in recognition of his faithful service. Age - ca 1890's Spanish American war era Size - 38 1/2" with scabbard , 37 1/2" overall , blade 30 3/4" Condition - Nice example in Very good condition with fine crisp engraving.
