Ok, we have all seen the helmets on ebay that state "Team Issued." Right. They are not. They are just some clown slapping decals on a helmet shell, while watching The Walking Dead, - making it look like Reggie White's helmet - with modern components from today, and then charging a super high price - hoping that some unknowing person with a lot of money and no knowledge of football helmets comes along and buys it. Nice. Karma. It will come around. This helmet is actually one of the very few that is actually a team issued helmet. This one came right out of the Packers locker room, had the decals applied by Red Batty and the Packer equipment staff, is a model with features unavailable to the public, is from 2000 - with original 2000 components, and is the same paint/decals/and components that the Packers use on their helmets. Did we mention that it was signed by both Ron Wolf and Brett Favre in 2000 as well? 2000 - the last year that Ron Wolf was the GM of the Packers. He didn't sign many items. Try and find one with he and Favre on it together. We had a COA from the Packers but have mis-placed it since owning this helmet. This helmet is in my personal collection in a display cabinet with a bag over it. The autographs are as nice as the day it was signed. This helmet is a Riddell AF2 model in a size 7 3/8. The AF2 was a fitted helmet - designed for a player that required a special fit for his head. This model was discontinued in the very early 2000's as very few NFL players were still wearing it. One great feature about this helmet is the inflatable bladder under the front sizer pad - to give a custom fit. Some Packers and many NFL players had this in their helmets - a feature that was unavailable to the public. This helmet also has a thin wire OPO facemask - same as worn by Favre - with a date code of 2000.
