F.E. Olds & Son Ambassador Cornet (Trumpet) Fullerton, CA Refurbished & Replated - $1,600 - (Sykesville, MD)

Seller refurbished - like brand new. Actually better than brand new. Completely overhauled. New silverplate and gold wash on the bell. F.E. Olds made some of the best brass instruments. This is a Cornet, similar to a trumpet. Some schools use either trumpet or cornet and don't distinguish between the two. If you need a very nice cornet - don't miss this one. This is completely gone over, everything addressed. Plays like a pro instrument. Sounds like a pro instrument. Over $400.00 spent on the re-plating alone which was a three step process. The instrument has also been ultrasonically cleaned. This instrument needs nothing except someone to care for and play it. Case exterior is a little rough but not too bad. Inside is decent. Latches work with some assistance. The springs are broken on the case latches. The open and close and latch. You have to slide the slider and pull on the latch to pop it open as there is no spring. Cornet is perfect. You can't buy a decent student model new for this price. This rivals many professional instruments. Talk to any music teacher about the original F. E. Olds & Son Ambassador and they will tell you they are great instruments. Don't miss out - the last of these refurbished instruments that I have. You can't buy a decent student model for this price. You can't buy a new one of this quality for twice the cost and I doubt you could buy anything decent for this price new. Like I said, this will rival many pro instruments. It comes with a mouthpiece but with any instrument, you will want to buy a mouthpiece that is fitted to your musician.
