Vintage irridescent cup and saucer with plum/purple & white stripes-Japan 6778 - $7 - (Lexington, KY)

This listing is for a pretty cup and saucer with purple and iridescent white stripes. My aunt gave them to my mom years ago and I have had them for about 20 years. After looking closely at them, I'm not sure they really go together. There is a different kind of flower on the cup than on the saucer and there is a star pattern in the white on the saucer, but not on the cup. Also, the cup is marked Japan and the saucer is marked 6778. After all this time I had never noticed. I just thought they were pretty. They are in great condition.
