This is a lovely classic of the popular Mason’s pitcher with Japan Basket Design in a middle size. The mark (note the wider spaces between the letters of MASON’S) dates this traditional octagonal pitcher to about 1820, the period after 1813 when Mason and his son patented their ironstone process.
