Vintage Porcelain Bedouin Man on Camel - Figural Bottle Decanter w Tray Germany - $70 - (Valley, WA)
Figural camel decanter with it's tray are both marked Germany. They came together. The tray is marked Germany in red and the camel is marked in blue. The two handled tray measures 9 3/4" x 6 1/8" wide. The camel and his Bedouin rider measures 7 1/2" long x 3 1/8" wide x 5" tall. The tray has a few wear spots. The driver has a wear spot on his nose and his right leg. The other spots are glare or camera flash spots. I have found no chips, cracks, or repairs. Even the cork is in good condition. The set was most likely made in the 1920-1940's period when luster ware was quite popular. But it could be older. The set is missing 6 glasses/tumblers that were probably shot glass size or about 1 1/4" in diameter at the base - to fit into the round spots. This is a wonderful decanter and tray set. It will be carefully wrapped.
