We are offering an antique circa 1870's appliqué quilted cotton quilt, hand stitched with striking rows of a variation of Mariner's Compass pattern in red, green, orange and brown alternating with rows of a cloverleaf stylized motif in green, orange and blue, framed with a pink, blue and orange banded border. The backing is solid white. A wonderful early quilt with bold graphics and great eye appeal. In very good overall condition. No fraying or tears. No foul odors or bad stains. There is a 1 1/2" x 1" hole in the blue fabric as shown in photo #9. There are some areas of light discoloration and a couple of small stains as shown in photos #8, #10 and #12 (that most likely will come out with a washing). Please study the photos as they are a part of the description. Measures 82" x 61". Offered here fresh out of an estate for the first time.
