Offered for your collecting enjoyment is this beautiful antique French faience plate. Made by the Saint Clement majolica factory, the back makers mark dates this lovely antique plate to have been made around 1830. Totally hand painted, it features a Reticulated or pierced border and a Basketweave rim. The center features a couple conversing amongst rocks and trees, there are sprays of flowers to the bottom and off to the side. It measures 9.5 inches in diameter. It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks, a small dip in the rim which is colored and gazed so done in the factory as seen in photo 11 and a small stilt mark on the back as seen in photo 12!
