Unusual Doulton Lambeth ale pitcher dated 1878. All over raised design on beige background with green leaves and blue thistles. Raised dots around top and bottom. Raised swirled leaves on handle. The rim is sterling silver and hallmarked with HA, anchor, lion, K and head. The bottom has multiple marks: gg, HH (or two E's back-to-back). A mark that looks like an oriental symbol, 545, Doulton Lambeth, 1878, and y. Shades of brown, beige, green with blue thistles and dots. Stored away for many years and has no chips, no cracks, no dents, no damage,and no repairs...and almost 150 years old! Measures: 9 1/4" high, 3 1/2" top diameter, 5" base diameter.
