We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful mahogany four drawer serpentine ox bow front claw foot high quality mahogany desk made by the Maddox furniture company out of New York back in the 1940s. Someone has refinished the desk previously. It has four ox bow drawers. When you take the breadboard slant lid and flip it down the supports come out to support the writing surface and it reveals a cubby hole interior with a center door and two cleverly disguise hidden compartments behind the carved posts. It has ball and claw feet, Chippendale hardware and a mahogany finish. We used to see these all the time, but they are getting harder to locate.
