We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful original finish solid black walnut Victorian civil war era marble top chest with the original mirror top. It is a great looking chest that dates from the 1860s to 1870s. This great chest has the four drawers in the base with the secret hidden drawer in the baseboard. There are two ditty boxes on top to support the mirror. The drawers have grape carved pulls and the drawers are hand cut dove tail. The overall size is 41 inches wide, 20 inches deep and 38 inches high on the base. The mirror is 40 inches high to give an overall height of 78 inches from the floor to the top of the mirror crest. There is a crack panel on the side of the mirror and one of the finials has a crack in it. Otherwise it is in nice condition. It has a white and gray grained marble that goes on top of the dresser base. Shipping starts at $345 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
