Promote the best health and longevity for your fish, crustaceans, and reptiles with the important nutrients providing by a live snail diet. For excellent Freshwater algae maintenance, freshwater snails are the premier choice for beginners through to the highly experienced aquarium or water feature keeper. Pond, bladder and tadpole snails are actively seeking food at all hours of the day. Our snails have interesting coloration and semi-transparent shells which gives them a glistening appearance. They will consume algae from glass, rocks, driftwood, gravel, live plants, artificial plants, back walls, and decor. Their energetic and hungry nature ensures a pristine tank with or without live plants. They are ideal for indoor/outdoor water gardens, garden ponds and aquariums. They are very hardy and can overwinter in ponds by living among the plant debris and rocks in the bottom. Outdoor water features should be at least 24" deep to help ensure survival through the winter. Compared to many other known algae eating tank mates, Pond, bladder and tadpole snails consume a great deal of algae in short periods of time. They will reproduce in freshwater. For ponds and garden water features this is no problem; however please please take this into account when ordering for an aquarium. If purchased for an aquarium, if they consume all of the visible algae in your tank, you should supplement their diet with foods such as Algae Discs and Algae Wafers. They also enjoy softly cooked, calcium rich vegetables such as Celery, Zucchini, and Cucumber. SHIPPING: We typically Ship Monday - Wednesday.
