Pauly & Co Venezia 12 Elegant Plates Antique/ Romantic Scenes Gold Trim & Decorations Salad, Luncheon or Side Plates measuring 7 5/8" in diameter. These gorgeous, rare and hard to find plates each feature a different romantic/ antique allegorical scene. They are surrounded by a wide pink band decorated with gold gilt scroll work and leaves, surrounded by a similarly decorated edge in gold trim. The photos do not do these elegant rare plates justice. They are truly one of a kind unique. They are heavily decorated in gold decor. There is some light scratching on the gold and pink surfaces. These are all free from chips, cracks or flakes. In 1919 the firm is acquired from Societa' Anonima Sanitaria of Milan that at the same timealso purchased the C.V.M. firm, reselling both of them to Gaetano Ceschina in 1920. The glassworks established in 1925 was called Pauly & Co., and it had to produce glasses for these two firms. In 1963 the Pauly & Co. Was sold to Luciano Barbon; now the propetors are Daniela Barbon Boscaro and Andrea Boscaro. Some glasswares produced by them are signed in CVM acid.
