Vtg 1936 CARHARTT Overalls FARMERS Account Book HEAVY WEAR Farm Family History..........Box 9: Carhartt Approx 8" x 5", Universal Account Book printed and distributed by Carhartt Overalls Company in 1936. Farmers used this to keep their finances straight and it was a font of agricultural information. Places to keep track of wages paid or earned with standard farm wages charted as a guide. This farmer has a small section where he recorded everywhere he moved (possibly worked crops for others?) and recorded the birth of his daughter and the date she first walked by herself. (Proud father!!) Centerfold was heavily scribbled over (possibly by this same daughter?!) Very heavy wear, this booklet was extremely valuable to the previous owner and was thumbed through and referred to often, apparently. Great historical item records the life on a farm in the 1930s. CONDITION: Very heavy wear, many creases, pencil scribbles from a child, covering loosening from the spine, the color of the covers is VERY much darker than the photos, they were lightened to show details. Many creases, missing chips along the edges of the cover. SEE PHOTOS.
