OHIO STATE SCHOLARSHIP FUND RARE ART ITEM SIGNED BY CLARK KELLOGG/ARCHIE GRIFFIN - $25 - (Sistersville, WV)
This was won at a charity dinner auction in 2004 at the Archie Griffin Ohio State Buckeye Scholarship Fund Annual Banquet in which Clark Kellogg was the Guest Of Honor. It was autographed by both Clark and Archie, men who have served as elite ambassadors of Ohio State University, and whose class, integrity, commitment to public service, and success away from professional sports has made them the ultimate role models. Both of these legends autographs on this limited edition art work makes this a special collectible. It has been professionally matted and has never been framed or removed from the protective plastic. The dimensions are 16" X 20". This would make an excellent addition to any man cave, watering hole, or sports memorabilia collector. Folks from Ohio and Indiana don't think of Clark Kellogg as the nation's premier college basketball analyst. He is considered an Ohio high school legend and one of the most consistent performers in Ohio State basketball history. He left OSU after his Junior year and was the 8th overall choice in the 1982 draft. He was named to the All NBA Rookie team in 1983 but knee problems that plagued him since college cut his NBA career short. If you look at the beautiful lithograph you will see he is wearing a knee brace, and in the NBA he had braces on both knees. He is also wearing the Converse Special K shoes named after him after signing an endorsement deal with Converse along with Larry Bird. This lithograph was a limited edition print of Clark Kellogg completed in 2004, #36/400. The artists signature and completion date are on the print.
