A solid cast bronze plaque with depicting a bust of Napoleon Bonaparte - - Emperor of France, on a calla lily leaf-form background. Beautifully modeled with crisp details. To the rear: a handmade steel eye for hanging and leftover of a bracket or a plate ??, please see photos. No artist, foundry, manufacturer and country of origin marks. Probably made in France, sometime in 1850's. or earlier. Rare for its image and overall condition. Pictures will tell you more. Approx.: Width: 8in. (21cm.) Height: 8-7/8in. (22,5cm.)
