ANTIQUE 1877 Nathan Neat & Co Boston LEATHER DOCTOR MEDICAL TRAVEL BAG SATCHEL - $50 - (Eddington, ME)

Antique leather Dr. bag or Nurse Satchel. It is stamped on clasp Patented Sept. 1877 and impressed on bottom in leather "Nathan Neat & Co. Boston Mass". It is a nice small size to display. It measures app. 14 1/2 inches wide by 7 1/2 inches deep by 7 1/2 inches to top of handle. Can is for size comparison only. The leather is old and somewhat brittle and should probably be treated with something. It is stained and some spots are darker. Inside the lining is dirty,grungy and old with some rips and tears. Most of the thin leather covering the opening has dried and fallen off leaving the rusty metal showing. Nice addition to your medical collection or display.
