Yamaha Birch Custom Absolute Drum Kit - Vintage Natural Finish - MIJ - $1,250 - (Blackstone, MA)

This is a pre-owned Birch Custom Absolute Shell Pack in the beautiful and elegant Vintage Natural Finish. Here are the sizes: 18x16, 12x10, 14x12. It does sound a bit of odd sizes but as a unit, they sound birch shells sound beautiful together. Hardware Included: TH-945 Tom holder to mount the 10 and 12" toms and a third YESS mount to mount the 14" hanging tom off of a cymbal stand. Bass Drum: The 18x16 bass drum was initially a floor tom that was converted into a bass drum. This work on the drum was done professionally as I inspected the shell very closely prior to purchasing. All part that were installed onto the shell are authentic Yamaha parts which include the professional bass drum legs, tom mount, and all Yamaha bass drum claws and tension rods. Also, there was a professional mic port that was installed into the side of the kick drum that has the XLR cable running inside of the shell. There are cosmetic screws that cover the six holes around the shell where the floor tom brackets were once mounted. Lastly, there was a Yamaha bass drum riser that was professionally installed on the bottom of the shell so that the beater would hit dead center of the head for that "sweet spot". In the day and age of wanting to get into gigs, set up quick and break down quickly after the gig, you want to lean toward a smaller footprint and set up. BUT, you want to do that without compromising the overall sound of the kit as well. There are A LOT of smaller compact kits you can buy these days but the overall quality of the shells and hardware are not that great and will not last. If you are looking for a compact set up that has outstanding quality, this is the kit! It mics up beautifully and sounds fantastic either acoustically or through the PA.
