Presented is a set of 3 American coin silver coffee, tea or 5 o’clock spoons made by Nicholas Geffroy of Newport, Rhode Island during the late 1700s or early 1800s. The spoons are done in a classic Coffin End form and the front of each handle is hand engraved with bright cut designs an a monogram of the letter R. The back of each spoon is marked N. Geffroy. This set is guaranteed to be 900 coin silver purity. This set is in great overall condition for its age. There is some surface wear commensurate with age and use and a couple of incredibly tiny dings to the bowls, but as you can see in the photographs, these minor flaws are hardly noticeable.
