The PL-560 is the rare top of the line turntable in this series from 1978, sharing the same drive and speed control systems as the ultra rare SPEC 1 (PL-630). It is a full auto direct drive turntable with metered pitch control and variable quartz lock. It has been professionally serviced with RCA cables resoldered and any cold solder joints addressed, the chassis, pots, and controls have been cleaned, and appropriate pivot points lubricated. YOU DO NOT LUBRICATE THE MOTOR ON THIS TURNTABLE PER PIONEER MANUAL. Four new sorbothane feet fabricated to exact Pioneer specifications have been installed. I pulled the original Pickering XV-15 and installed an AT90 which is a perfect match for these tables. This turntable is in very nice cosmetic condition and considered one of the most attractive, best performing, yet durable of all Pioneer tables. There is a crack in the dustcover by the left rear hinge, a common flaw with the heavy hinges they used in this series. A copy of the original manual is included. I recommend to always replace the stylus on an unknown cartridge. I am keeping the manual but will include a copy. Turntables must be partially disassembled prior to shipment. At a minimum the platter, counter weight, and headshell will be removed. Reassembly and calibration is required. If you are unfamiliar with turntables or not mechanically inclined local pick up is recommended. All turntables and turntable parts are sold as is with no warranties or returns.
