This was the second time around for Mitch Leigh and Albert Marre and their "first Chinese-Jewish musical", CHU CHEM, an earlier version having closed during out-of-town tryouts decades ago, though there is no reference in this playbill to that obscure effort. The show toplined those popular stars Mark Zeller and Emily Zacharias, who were supported by Kevin Gray, Alvin Lum, Chev Rodgers, Hechter Ubarry, Zoie Lam, Timm Fujii, Simone Gee, Keelee Seetoo, Kenji Nakao, Jason Ma, Paul Nakauchi, Nephi Jay Wimmer, and Irving Burton.
