Yogi Berra was a long time New York Yankee. He was an 18-time All-Star and won 10 World Series championships. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest catchers in baseball history. Ralph Branca pitched three consecutive All-Star seasons for the Brooklyn Dodgers, but will always be remembered for the "Shot Heard Round The World". He served up Bobby Thomson's pennant winning home run in the 1951 National League Championship game. The post card is from American Shops clothing store in Newark, NJ. In the early days of Major League Baseball, players worked in the off-season to supplement their income. There were several well known players who worked at American Shops. This is a rare autographed card, authenticated by JSA (James Spence). The listing includes the letter of authenticity. It is in good collectible condition, showing light yellowing and light staining on the back. The front of the card reads: American Shops 80 Broad Street - Newark 2, N.J.
