Antique Carafe with Ice Chiller Insert Silverplate Lid and Band - $29 - (Hiawatha, KS)
This antique carafe has a ice chiller insert that securely screws into the silverplate lid. The handle is attached to the carafe on an embossed band around the neck. 11 1/4" tall with the lid on with a 5 7/8" diameter at the carafe's widest. The silverplate parts and the carafe itself are unmarked; the ice insert is marked with a B in a circle on the side of the base along with a 7 and a 3 and the number 5574 is on the very bottom. According to my research, the B in a circle is the mark of Brockway Glass Company. The glass and insert are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The silverplate lid is bright and shiny and the band is also in very, very nice condition. The handle is worn from use but is all intact. Please examine all of the pictures closely and ask any questions before bidding. I will send it as soon as possible after payment clears, usually no later than the following day.
