This is a beautiful group of 4 similar Wedgwood Majolica cabbage leaf plates. The first is a deep green Wedgwood majolica figural cabbage leaf plate that is date marked as having been made in the FIRST year Wedgwood made majolica, which was 1860. For majolica it has survived awfully well. There is a rub on the raised leaf design probably from having been stacked. There is one tiny glaze flake on the rim. Please see the pictures. It measures 8 inches in diameter, and clearly marked "Wedgwood" on the reverse and an impressed "0," the date stamp for 1860. The other 3 plates are also majolica from Wedgwood, and are date stamped for the year 1877. Two of the these show no wear on the eating surfaces. The third one has a small irregularity that could be a flake. We have pictured it, so please see the pictures.
