Puerto Rico Specimen 20 Pesos 1894-97, PCGS 64 Very Choice New Pick 28s, Series D, No Date, El Banco Espanol De Puerto Rico, San Juan, PCGS 64 Very Choice New. With Counterfoil, very well-centered, fresh, and crisp antique banknote. Popular Spanish era issue with Queen Mother portrait. Apparently two tiny, barely discernable natural paper wrinkles in the right margin kept this note from 65PPQ. Pick (16th) notes both Specimen and Proof, but shows no prices. The un-graded example with a paper adherence on the reverse, and not as well-centered, brought over $4,500 in the major Spanish auction of Specimen Puerto Rico notes last year.
